- The Hardy Boys #32 The Crisscross Shadow and #33 The Yellow Feather Mystery are published, and for the first time in the 23-year history of the series more than one book is published in the same year.
1955[]
- The first television adaption of The Hardy Boys, The Mystery of The Applegate Treasure, airs. This Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Club TV serial is based on The Tower Treasure.
1956[]
- First comic book adaption of The Hardy Boys is published by Dell Comics, based on the Walt Disney TV serial.
1957[]
- The second and final Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Club TV serial, The Mystery of Ghost Farm, airs.
- With the publication of The Hardy Boys #37 Ghost at Skeleton Rock, length of books is shortened from 220 pages to 180.
