Colonel Chin Huan is a brainwasher, and former chief of the indoctrination section of the Red Army. During the Korean War he designed the brainwashing program used on American prisoners. After the death of Chinese leader Mao Zedong, he left his homeland, China, and was recruited by the Lazarus Clinic organization.[1] Working with plastic surgeons, and assistant, Peter Clark, Colonel Huan created both physical and mental duplicates of Frank Hardy, Joe Hardy,[1] Iola Morton, and US government agent, The Gray Man,[2] as part of a plot to overthrow America's top secret service agency.[3]
The plot was well planned but was stopped by Frank and Joe Hardy. Huan, and fellow conspirators were captured by the Network, the very organization they had been ploting against, while escaping their base in Maine, USA. Upon capture he, along with the rest of the Lazarus group was ordered to restore the identity of Sally Collins, an American high school student who had been used for the Iola Morton double.[4]
