For the original edition, see Hunting for Hidden Gold (original text).

Hunting for Hidden Gold is the fifth book in The Hardy Boys Original series. It was first published in 1928 by Grosset & Dunlap, and then revised and re-released in 1963. In October 2017 Grosset & Dunlap will release a version with new cover art. This will be the first time that new cover art is made based on the Revised Text, as the cover art that was on the revised book prior to October 2017 was first used for the Original Text in 1959.
