===Novels===
Joe is the more impulsive of the two brothers. He dashes into all kinds of situations without worrying too much about consequences, and refuses to admit that anything is impossible. Also Joe is often cocky towards criminals, even when the Hardys are prisoners. Sometimes this gets him into trouble, but for the most part, it works to his advantage, making them lose focus and giving he and his brother a chance to escape.
