Show intro for The Mystery of King Tut's Tomb

The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries (retitled The Hardy Boys Mysteries for season three) is a television series that was produced by Joyce Brotman and Arlene Sidaris, for Universal Television, and originally aired on ABC for three seasons, between January 30, 1977 and January 14, 1979. Staring Parker Stevenson and Shaun Cassidy as the Hardy boys, and Pamela Sue Martin (later Janet Louise Johnson) as Nancy Drew, the series was the first in a long list of Hardy boys/Nancy Drew cross-overs.

History

The show first aired on ABC at 7:00PM (ET) on January 30th, 1977.

The Hardy brothers and Nancy didn't appear together until the second season; in the first season, episodes featured either the Hardy boys or Nancy Drew, alternately.

In the second season the format was changed and Nancy Drew only appeared alone for three episodes, with the remainder being Hardy boys and cross-over episodes. Martin left the show toward the end of season two, and was replaced by actress Janet Julian.

For the third season Nancy Drew was dropped altogether, and the show was renamed The Hardy Boys Mysteries. In this season, Frank and Joe become professional investigators for the Justice Department.
