The Missing Chums is the fourth book in The Hardy Boys original series. It was first published in 1928 by Grosset & Dunlap, and then revised and re-released in 1962.
Plot summary
Two of the Hardy boys' best friends, Biff Hooper and Chet Morton, are missing! Last seen at a costume party, where Chet was wearing the same costume as Joe Hardy and that same night Joe and brother Frank witnessed a bank robbery. Could their disappearance be a case of mistaken identity?
The Hardys take it upon themselves to find their missing friends and are soon involved in an investigation that leads them through out Bayport, islands off Barmet Bay and even into a nearby slum. ??
