Tropic Of Fear is the 14th book in the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys SuperMystery'88 series. It was first published in November 1992 by Archway Paperbacks (an imprint of Simon & Schuster), and is a spin-off of the Nancy Drew Files and The Hardy Boys Casefiles, respectfully.
